Calling all parents of reluctant writers! (Calling all parents of ardent writers, too!) If you have a child who resists writing, he or she needs to come to camp! Do you know why most kids dislike writing? Typically it is because they have no idea what to say or (more importantly) how to say it. Enter the Institute for Excellence in Writing curriculum! Add Mrs. Crowder and your student (age 9-13) will have 4 days of engaging writing instruction complete with comedy, games and group interaction. No matter your student’s level – a beginner with NO experience (whoo-hoo! starting with a clean slate!), or one who has been writing for several years (possibly with some frustration) – they will come away from these 4 days armed with patterns and techniques to use for any writing assignment. The secrets of the 6 dress-ups, 6 sentence openers, banned words and decorations will be revealed for instant improvement. Parents – you might even pick up some helpful hints yourself!

Materials fee: $30 workbook from IEW.
Campers will need to bring pen, paper and folder or binder AND your LUNCH!
